Desultory ramblings of a complex woman…

Hello everyone,

There is nothing better than being in a voting line with 600 people ahead of you at 6:20 am. It’s amazing what a great country we live in. Most of my neighbors were there and the sense of community was overwhelming.

It also gave me time to think and remember many repressed fears and impulses that have been cleverly stored away in my mind.

November is a hard month for me. My father passed away on this month. It never fails that this time of year with the holidays approaching, that I start to reflect on family, work, finances, the state of our world, our poor, our soldiers at war, single mothers trying to make ends meet, fathers losing their jobs and our childrens’ future in an unstable world. God help us all.

So here I was, in the voting line, digging into the ruins of my female unconsciousness. Here is what I found: within every woman there is a force filled with amazing instincts, ardent creativity, wisdom and power….We are an endangered species.

You ask me why?

Because whether its social pressure, fear, rigid role play or just trapped, we have muffled the treasures of our souls. We need to regain and revive our psyche. We need to heal the wounds that refuse to heal. We need to reconnect with our souls. No more excuses. We are important. We are talented. We do have time.

Explore, examine, understand, love. Do not let your fears overwhelm you. It is an arduous struggle, but I am ready, how about you?
