Hello everyone, Olympia here, and I am having a very bad day. I went to the Memorial service of Robyn Flintoff, a client and friend of mine. Robyn a young, lovely, creative and passionate woman, lost her battle with uterine cancer.

I hate goodbyes, always have, and saying goodbye to her was very hard. She was one of the most difficult clients I have ever had. You know the type that always push your limits; that make you work for your money?That was her. She drove me insane; God I miss her.

We hairdressers are a crazy lot. Passion rules us. We are a very emotional group of people, and when we hurt, we hurt bad. We swear up and down that we will never get close to another client for as long as we live, and then …….we do it over and over again. I am so glad that we don’t keep our word, I would have missed out on knowing some of the best people in the world.

There you have it, hairdressers hate going to funerals. It should be about doing your hair, but oftentimes, It’s alot more than that. We form human attachments that even death cannot break.

Losing someone you love is hard, is it not?
