“Richard’s was how big?” came the question in hushed tones.

“Easily the largest one that I’ve seen in years,” came the reply. “And, it wasn’t just large, it was wiiiiiiiide.”

Sanaa stopped just outside of the breakroom’s doorway in full sight of anyone walking down the corridor, but was hidden from view of the two women gossiping a few feet inside. Sanaa didn’t care if someone saw her clearly eavesdropping; this conversation was just too good.

“So, he brought you back to his place, right?”

“Yes, I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to but-“

“And, he disappears for a moment,” the other voice interrupted.

“Mmmmhmm.”

“So, you follow him upstairs, peek into the spare bedroom, and-“

“And, then,” added the other woman, “It’s just there in my face, absolutely huge and astonishing.”

“Wow, I just never expected that from him. I’ve never heard of a computer monitor being so big!” the other woman exclaimed.

All this time Sanaa had thought she was listening to hot office gossip, and it turned out to be about a computer screen!

“Neither did I. He had done his research, too. When I looked at the screen, he had it on the AMCTV.com website. Somehow he found out that AMC is my all-time favorite network.”

The other woman had to add, “Mine, too! Oh, I just love them. Their original series are so much better than everybody else’s. Have you seen Mad Men? It keeps me on the edge of my seat every episode!”

“I know, I know!” her colleague yelled.

Sanaa definitely heard the distinct sound of high heels striking the ground. “They were jumping up and down in the air for this Mad Men, a TV show?” Sanaa wondered to herself. What show could be that good?

“But, before we watched Mad Men, he popped us a bowl of popcorn, and we read and watched parts of the Toronto International Film Festival,” came the voice from inside the breakroom.

“Wait, I don’t get it. How was Richard able to manage that?”

“It’s all on AMC’s AMCTV.com website, silly!,” the other woman replied. “They’re one of the only networks that is extensively covering the Toronto’s film festival, and to top it off, AMCTV.com has video exclusives with stars at the festival like Guy Ritchie and Brad Pitt.”

“Wait, so you’re telling me that it’s possible to see Guy Ritchie, Brad Pitt and Mad Men all in one place?! Oh, thank God for AMC!,” she shrieked.

“You know what?,” asked her co-worker. “If AMC AMCTV.com could find a way to make popcorn, I wouldn’t need to date Richard!”

Outside the breakroom, the eavesdropping Sanaa was no longer there. After listening to her colleagues talk about all the fantastic programming available on AMCTV.com, she knew that she had been missing out completely. She had grabbed her coat and ran for the door.

When a fellow worker asked to where she was headed, over her shoulder, she replied, “To AMCTV.com, to get me some Brad Pitt!”
